The record is the act of justice.
“Some evidence doesn't survive as data. It survives as a body that still remembers how to flinch at a chord change thirty years later.”
The Justice Society of Activism is an Arizona nonprofit that treats testimony as infrastructure — collecting, preserving, and publishing first-person accounts of lives the record would otherwise lose.

What We Stand For
Voice
Published testimony that names what happened plainly, without performing it for an audience.
Record
Preservation as advocacy. An accurate account, filed honestly, is itself a form of justice.
Relay
Carrying hard-won lessons forward to people who never had them modeled for them.
The Aqueduct Series
A deposition in chapters. Seventeen transmissions documenting a way of living the fully digital present no longer manufactures the conditions to produce.
Reel One: Germantown, PA
A car, a record, a woman singing every word — and the thirty-year transmission that followed. The one chapter currently unsealed.

Ground Wire. The Occupied Household. Reports from the Interior. Field Notes from the Neutral Zone. All seventeen chapters filed; sixteen sealed pending release.

Contributions underwrite editing, archival storage, and the controlled release of sealed chapters — and seed the mentorship arm.
Support the work →Erasure is rarely dramatic
It happens through ordinary attrition. An address that no longer exists. A witness nobody asked. A death left unsolved. A household whose only account of itself lived in one person's memory — and then did not.
The Justice Society of Activism was founded on a narrow, workable premise: that testimony, plainly told and personally owned, is itself a form of activism. Not a substitute for policy work — a prerequisite for it. You cannot advocate for what has gone unrecorded.
Our work is therefore deliberately unglamorous. We write things down. We store them properly. We release them on terms the witness controls. And we teach the next person how to do the same.
